It’s one of our favorite seasons at Prudential Center… back-to-school shopping! From parents, to teachers and all of Boston’s life-long learners, we’ve got you covered to start the school year off with everything you need.
The Center’s 30+ retailers are ready to set you up for success. Below are just a few of the items on our list while shopping at the Pru this month!
First off… we need something to carry all of our items, right? DICK’S House of Sport has backpacks for every size (child to adult), color and shape to meet your needs this school year. Visit the store at the Center to test out favorites from JanSport (that come in a plethora of colors), a selection from Carhartt that offer a special compartment to hold laptops, and sporty options from Under Armour. There’s over 100 different backpack options available in-store, so it’ll be hard not to find something you’ll love!
If you’re looking for something a bit more elevated, Shinola offers leather backpacks in styles for both men and women. These old-school classics reimagined with Shinola’s signature craftsmanship are built for daily carry and feature modern functionality and heirloom-quality materials that only get better with time.
The last thing you want to be when studying is uncomfortable. Known for its active wear, lululemon is one of our go-tos when looking for clothing to run around in, lounge around in, and of course to study in. The matching sets make it easy to get ready (stylishly) on-the-go. Check out lululemon’s curated back to school guide for both men and women that will help you make the grade this next school year.
One of our goals this next year is to incorporate more brain-boosting foods into our diet. We all want to keep our brains nice and healthy for years to come don’t we? With 20+ eateries, the Center makes it easy to find foods like oily fish, leafy greens, berries, nuts and avocados right at our finger tips.
You know sweetgreen has all this covered with their made-to-order salads and bowls, as well as Pressed Cafe’s extensive all-day fast-casual menu with its Mediterranean flair and made with the freshest local ingredients. Some other ways we’re adding brain boosting-foods in our orders is: adding guac to your Anna’s Taqueria tacos, burritos and bowls; trying the latest seasonal find on Clover’s hyper-seasonal menu; and incorporating a few of the fish dishes from the Earls Kitchen + Bar menu (like the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and Oven Roasted Atlantic Salmon) into our take-out routine.
Eye health is just as important as brain health! That’s why we’re heading to Warby Parker to find some designer-quality blue-light glasses. With nearly 300 frames to choose from, Warby’s blue-light glasses feature a special treatment to help block potentially pesky blue light, not just from laptops, phones, and other devices with screens, but also those that occur naturally (i.e. the sun).
This UV-blocking, scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coating can be added to any frame – with or without a prescription – for $50. Frames start at $95, but keeping eyes healthy long-term is priceless!
Prudential Center is here to set you up for an A+ year in and outside the classroom. For an even sweeter deal, make sure to sign up for a complimentary PRUferred Card for exclusive deals while you shop, dine, and experience the Center as you prepare for the upcoming school year!
