Adding Movie-Inspired Flair to Summer Flicks!

It’s back! Summer Flicks – everyone’s favorite summer activity – returns to Prudential Center on July 12th! Through August 23rd, find a spot in South Garden for this free outdoor movie-watching experience underneath the stars. From classics to recent blockbusters, the movie selection is curated to appeal to audiences of all ages.
Before heading to the Center, check out our guide on how to make your movie-viewing evening even more special. The Center’s retailers and eateries are on hand to help you add some flair with outfits, beauty, bites, drinks and more. Throughout the summer, a selection of the Center’s retailers and eateries will also be popping up for specials inspired by the night’s movie.
Saturday, July 12th: Miss Congeniality (PG-13)
Nearly 25 years ago, we were introduced to Sandra Bullock’s Gracie Hart. Who can forget that iconic scene of beauty pageant coach Victor Melling turning Gracie from a rough-around-the-edges FBI agent into a pageant girl? Inspired by that scene, we’re heading to some of our favorite beauty brands for some pampering.
Before a quick glam session at MAC Cosmetics and Sephora, we’re preparing our skin at L’OCCITANE with a Mini Facial (it’s free with a complimentary micro skin analysis!).
At Sephora, all makeup services are performed by a licensed or makeup-certified Beauty Advisor. Choose from: a complete full face application custom-tailored to you, an option for a features focus, or an ultimate glam that includes elevated techniques to accentuate ALL your features.
Over at MAC, walk in for a free application or book a full service. In 30 minutes, enhance your look with an elevated, everyday makeup application that focuses on one to two features. A 45 minute service includes a full ultimate MAC makeup experience.
Saturday, July 19th: 13 Going on 30 (PG-13)
In this fantasy rom-com, Jennifer Garner’s character Jenna Rink wakes up the day after her 13th birthday as a 30-year-old editor of a fashion magazine…complete with a closet to match her fancy adult job.
Upgrade your clothing with the help of Madewell! Before the showing on July 19th, Madewell will be on hand to collect your old jeans as part of their denim trade-up program. Bring your pre-loved jeans and Madewell in return will give you $20 off a brand new pair!
Saturday, July 26th: Shrek (PG)
“Once upon a time, in a far away swamp…” or in our case, South Garden, sweetgreen will be handing out goodies to complement your movie-viewing experience, including FREE chips and FREE Crispy Rice Treats. Before Shrek, head over to sweetgreen (or preorder online or via the phone app) for a salad or bowl to enjoy while watching the movie. May we suggest ordering something with onions – as they have layers like ogres? Our favorite menu items that feature onions include the Guacamole Greens salad, Chicken Avocado Ranch bowl, and Miso Glazed Salmon protein plate.
Saturday, August 2nd: School of Rock (PG-13)
To shake you up all night long for a School of Rock night, stop by Sugarfina for some sugar-rush-inducing treats! Sugarfina’s array of candies – from the famous Gummies in unique flavors to indulgent Chocolates & Cordials to a variety of Sour Candies – offers something for everyone in the family to enjoy! In South Garden, Descendant Detroit Style Pizza will be giving out FREE slices of pizza and cookies!
Saturday, August 9th: Finding Nemo (G)
“Fish are friends, not food,” but no need to worry about that with Phish Food from Ben & Jerry’s! The Vermont-based ice cream shop’s version includes fudge fish mixed into chocolate ice cream alongside gooey marshmallow and caramel swirls. Ben & Jerry’s will be scooping up FREE scoops of Phish Food, Vanilla ,and Berry Sorbet for a sweet treat to pair while watching Finding Nemo. In addition to Ben & Jerry’s, you will find California Pizza Kitchen selling $5 cheese and pepperoni pizza’s!
Saturday, August 16th: The Parent Trap (PG)
The ultimate summer and outdoor camping movie has to be The Parent Trap. And what’s the ultimate camping food? S’mores! Located right off South Garden, Shake Shack has that craving covered with its Campfire S’mores Shake. Order in-person, online or via their app the decadent shake made with vanilla frozen custard that is hand-spun with graham cracker, chocolate and toasted marshmallow fudge chunks. Top it off with whipped cream and s’more crumbles. As if this night couldn’t get any better…Descendant Detroit Style Pizza will be back with more FREE slices of pizza and cookies.
Saturday, August 23rd: Moana (PG)
No need to go far for Moana-inspired drinks and sweets! Courtesy of wagamama, sip on FREE tropical juices like Nourish-Mint (apple, mint, and lemon), Balance (mango, apple, and orange), and Positive (pineapple, spinach, cucumber, apple, and lime) while being transported to Motunui.
