Before taking your chocolate journey in-store, get to know Ali, Store Manager of Läderach’s Prudential Center store, below. A native to the Greater Boston area, Ali often spent days shopping at the Pru with her mom!

How did you begin working at Läderach? 

I was originally working in Prudential Center just down the hall when Läderach opened their Boston location. I remember visiting for the first time and purchasing the FrischSchoggi sticks assortment as my first introduction to the fresh Swiss chocolate. Once I learned of the store management position opening & the wonderful work culture, I knew it was meant to be. 

What makes Läderach different from other chocolates?  

Freshness, artisanal skills, and Swissness – these are the core values that Läderach stands for. Läderach was founded in 1962, and is a third generation family company that creates fresh Swiss chocolate. Läderach carefully oversees every step of the production process, from sourcing cocoa beans to delivering finished products, and manufactures its chocolate exclusively in Switzerland. This positions Läderach as one of the few premium producers to ensure high quality from bean to finished product. Läderach produces over 100 varieties of chocolates, including over 20 varieties of FrischSchoggi, more than 50 different pralines and truffles, dozens of confectionery specialties, and a large selection of seasonal creations. 

Most Popular Läderach chocolate?  

Our best selling chocolate is our milk chocolate hazelnut FrischSchoggi followed closely by our Dubai FrischSchoggi.

What would you want to be gifted for Valentine’s Day?  

It’s too hard to pick one, so I would say the FrischSchoggi Nut Trio and the FrischSchoggi Dark Hazelnut are my personal favorites. We have amazing options for Valentine’s Day, but I would love to receive our Velvet Heart gift box since it offers some of my favorite seasonal flavors as well the best selling classics in beautiful packaging.   

Favorite ways to pair chocolates from Läderach? 

I love pairing both our Cappuccino Truffle and our dark chocolate Trinidad Truffle together to create a smooth dark chocolate coffee flavor – my favorite!
